Bob Reich

Bob Reich

Robert A. Reich, IIIDeceased June 16, 2023, Westlake, Ohio.

Robert A. Reich, III, of Westlake, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Ames Family Hospice House after a brave battle with metastatic prostate cancer.  He is survived by his beloved wife of over 53 years, Paige (nee Henley), sons Adam (Jane) of Westlake and Alex (Allison) of Cleveland, and sister Barbara Wax (Samuel, deceased) of Fairfax, Virginia.  Bob will always be the sweetest “Grandpa” to granddaughters Julia, Audrey, Avery, and Adelyn.  He was a wonderful brother-in-law and uncle to many and dear friend to countless others.

Born on March 7, 1948, in Berea, Ohio, Bob was the son of the late Robert A. Reich, Jr. and Doris Baesel Reich.  He graduated from Rocky River High School, where he met the love his life, Paige.  After Bob and his new bride both graduated from the University of Kentucky (Bob with a degree in mechanical engineering and Paige with a degree in communications), the pair returned to Rocky River to continue their lives together.  Bob began working with his father at the Robert A. Reich Company, a successful manufacturer’s representative business founded by Robert, Jr.  Bob grew the business and became its second-generation owner.  One of Bob’s greatest personal and professional prides was the opportunity to work side-by-side with Adam, who joined the family business in 1997 after graduating from college.  That business, now known as Reich Sales, continues to thrive with Adam at the helm as third-generation owner.

A consummate professional during his working years – typically donning a suit, tie, and Stetson hat (with a feather in the brim, of course) – Bob also embraced retirement after easing away from a career that he truly loved.  He was an avid boater, angler, golfer, and marksman.  He also was a master at any manner of tinkering and putzing around, whether at home or on family vacations.  Bob enjoyed the simple joys of life and, above all else, cherished time with his family, who will always hold him in their hearts.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192 or online.
